Controversial singer Speed Darlington has accused gunmen of attempting to kill him in Lagos. The alleged attack took place as he was leaving a club in Victoria Island, where his SUV was damaged by gunfire.
Sharing a video on Instagram, Darlington’s driver can be seen holding what appear to be bullet casings.
Speed Darlington recounted, “I was told they shot at us. I heard gunshots. I didn’t know at first that it was aimed at us. I had just left the club when the shots rang out.”
He further expressed his belief that the attack was a targeted effort due to his outspoken personality, adding, “They are afraid of what I’ll say. I haven’t even spoken yet, and they’re already sending killers after me.”
He also suggested that police officers must have heard the shots and questioned the truth of the situation.
