Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) President Félix Tshisekedi has voiced praise for Russia and China, asserting that they exhibit more respectful behavior in Africa compared to Western nations.
In a statement, President Tshisekedi remarked, “Russia and China behave better in Africa than the West.” He highlighted their approach, noting that they do not adopt an arrogant demeanor or lecture African nations, which can be frustrating.
President Tshisekedi emphasized the sovereignty of African nations in choosing their international partnerships, stating, “We have the right to have the friends we want.”
He defended the strengthening ties with Russia and China, stating that they seek genuine friendship with Africa and the DRC.
Furthermore, President Tshisekedi portrayed Russia and China as reliable partners who engage with Africa transparently.
He expressed confidence in their approach, suggesting that they are positioned to emerge as leading partners for the continent.
