While Zambia celebrates the revival of its mining sector and the creation of 3000 jobs through the dewatering of Shaft 28 at the Luanshya Copper Mine, political criticism continues to overshadow President Hakainde Hichilema’s efforts to steer the country towards economic stability.
President Hichilema’s administration has undertaken significant steps to address Zambia’s economic challenges, including efforts to tackle debts, stabilize the economy, and restore law and order. Despite these commendable efforts, the opposition remains fixated on criticism, undermining the progress being made.
It is crucial for all political stakeholders to prioritize Zambia’s economic recovery and work collaboratively towards common goals. Constructive criticism is essential for democracy, but it should not overshadow genuine efforts to address the nation’s pressing issues.
As Zambia works towards economic recovery, it is imperative for political leaders to set aside differences and focus on policies that benefit all citizens. The revival of Shaft 28 symbolizes hope for a brighter future, and it is essential that political discourse aligns with the nation’s aspirations for progress and prosperity.
