Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has donated approximately $112 million worth of Tesla stock—268,000 shares—to charitable organizations.
This donation, confirmed through a regulatory filing on December 30, 2024, follows his previous acts of generosity. In 2021, Musk contributed $5.7 billion worth of Tesla shares, and in 2022, he donated an additional $1.95 billion in stock.
Despite these significant donations, Musk remains Tesla’s largest shareholder, retaining around 411 million shares through a trust he set up in 2003.
As of 2024, he still holds nearly 13% of Tesla’s total shares, with a net worth exceeding $415 billion according to Bloomberg.
