Twitter’s chief executive, Linda Yaccarino, unveiled a new logo for the social media platform, aiming to replace the iconic Larry the Bird design.

The fresh logo features a simple white X against a black background, as depicted in the picture released.

The decision to introduce the X logo came after Twitter’s owner, Elon Musk, expressed his desire to move away from the bird logo.

In a tweet on Monday morning, Yaccarino enthusiastically introduced the new logo, stating, “X is here! Let’s do this.”

Elon Musk promptly embraced the change by updating his Twitter profile picture to the newly revealed X logo and adding “X.com” to his Twitter bio, hinting at the development of a potential “super app” under the name “X.”

It was reported that Musk sought to transition Twitter’s brand identity and gradually phase out all bird-related elements.

On Sunday, he tweeted about bidding farewell to the Twitter brand, initiating the process by unveiling an interim logo, which went live later that day.
