Paul Pogba’s four-year doping ban has been reduced to 18 months following his appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. The Juventus midfielder, who tested positive for testosterone in August 2022, initially faced a suspension that could have ended his career.
The reduced ban allows him to resume his football career next year, as he began serving his suspension in February. Reflecting on the decision, Pogba expressed relief, stating, “the nightmare is finally over,” and acknowledged the pain of having his career put on hold.
He also thanked his fans for their support, emphasizing his eagerness to return to the pitch. This outcome provides a glimmer of hope for Pogba, who has faced significant challenges over the past year, both on and off the field. His return could reignite his professional journey and allow him to reclaim his status as one of football’s top talents.
