The EFCC’s investigation into Betta Edu, the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, and others linked to the National Social Investment Programme Authority (NSIPA) has uncovered significant financial irregularities.

With N30 billion recovered for the federal government and 50 bank accounts under scrutiny, the case highlights concerns of financial malfeasance. President Bola Tinubu’s dismissal of Edu and the former CEO of NSIPA, Halima Shehu, amidst allegations of financial wrongdoing underscores the seriousness of the situation.

The EFCC, led by executive chairman Ola Olukoyede, urges patience from the public as investigations continue, emphasizing the complexity of the case and the need for thoroughness in the process.
