A revelation by Bushradiogist has exposed a significant misallocation of public funds by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
Documents obtained indicate a transfer of N226,188,500 million to Kogi, Bayelsa, and Imo states just before the November 11, 2023, governorship elections.
These funds were purportedly earmarked for flight tickets and airport taxis for Minister Betta Edu’s teams traveling from Abuja to Kogi, a state notably lacking its own airport. The report raises legal concerns about the use of public funds for non-existent purposes and the redirection of funds into a private account, demanding accountability from Minister Edu, who remains unresponsive to inquiries.
