The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced the resumption date for the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, the self-appointed leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), on terrorism charges.

The trial is scheduled to proceed before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday, February 26. This decision follows a Supreme Court judgment allowing the continuation of Kanu’s trial on seven remaining counts.

Despite legal challenges surrounding Kanu’s arrest and rendition from Kenya, the Apex Court has ruled in favor of continuing the trial, emphasizing that the remedy for such actions lies in civil matters.
