Former CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele has taken legal action against Senate President Godswill Akpabio, demanding N25 billion in damages for defamatory remarks.
Emefiele’s counsel outlined the demand in response to Akpabio’s allegations of economic mismanagement during Emefiele’s tenure at the CBN. The legal notice requires Akpabio to issue a public apology or face further legal consequences.
