Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, refutes reports of an alleged assassination attempt on his life on Sunday. In a statement, the Governor clarified that the incident while he was traveling from Lokoja to Abuja was not an assassination attempt but rather a misunderstanding between some members of his convoy and the military. Bello emphasized that he has safely reached Abuja. Earlier reports had suggested an assassination attempt, with attackers in military attire ambushing the governor’s convoy and opening fire. The State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, had acknowledged the incident and mentioned that national security officers would investigate the matter. He urged citizens to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities. #OMAGIST@AFRICAWORLDNEWS*
