Indigenous People of Biafra -IPOB- leader, Nnamdi Kanu, is expected to appear before an Abuja court, today, Monday, July 27, for treason and other related charges.
Kanu, a daring IPOB leader who was arrested mid last month in Kenya and extradited to Nigeria, is a strong voice campaigning for an independent state in Nigeria’s eastern region.
The struggle to reclaim Biafra’s independence is reverberating among Igbos who are mostly victims of the ongoing Fulani menace across Africa’s most populous nation.
The incarcerated IPOB leader emerged as the new face of the Biafra campaign but his last month’s arrest has jaundiced the campaign with pro-Biafra Nigerians in the diaspora holding protests across the world.
