Renowned human rights activist Femi Falana has filed a legal action against federal and state governments, along with key education stakeholders, addressing Nigeria’s alarming number of out-of-school children, as reported by UNICEF.
Falana seeks a court order for the release of N68 billion from the Universal Basic Education Fund and demands compliance within 30 days. Additionally, he urges the court to affirm the legal obligation of the respondents to provide free, compulsory, and universal basic education for Nigerian children.
