According to a budget performance report, the government allocated N927 million within three months for refreshments, meals, allowances, honorarium settlements, and welfare packages. Omokri voiced his dismay on social media, criticizing the Labour Party for claiming to be Nigeria’s change, yet overseeing the near ₦1 billion expenditure on feeding and welfare in just three months in Abia state. He highlighted the irony of the situation, mentioning that even Tinubu, if president, hadn’t spent such an amount in three months. Omokri also pointed out the criticism faced by Tinubu from his opponents, despite the staggering expenditure in Abia. In his scathing commentary, Omokri implied that those aspiring to fix Nigeria were actually exploiting it, suggesting they were more inclined to fleece the nation rather than mend its problems.
