During Easter celebrations at the Onitsha Correctional Centre, Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, expressed that all Nigerians are prisoners due to the challenges facing the nation.
In a statement released via his X platform account, Obi emphasized the need for prayers and actions toward national development. He encouraged Nigerians not to lose hope but to strive for a better Nigeria.
Obi commended Archbishop Valerian Okeke for his contributions to inmates’ well-being and urged inmates to utilize their time in the correctional center to develop skills and make positive contributions to society.
