President Bola Tinubu pledged the Federal Government’s support for the resumption of the census in Nigeria during the launch of the National Geospatial Data Repository, Digital CRVS System, and the inauguration of the National Coordination Committee for CRVS at the Presidential Villa Abuja. He emphasized the importance of collaboration among government agencies and urged the use of advanced technology for efficient data collection. It was noted that the previous administration had allocated N200 billion for the census, but it was postponed due to other priorities after initial funding was used by the National Population Commission.
