Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has sharply condemned the false rumors and misleading ‘obituary photo’ circulating about his boss.

The rumors suggested that Wike collapsed at an event in Abuja on Friday, with some users on TikTok and X (formerly Twitter) even claiming he had passed away.

Contrary to these rumors, Wike appeared publicly on Sunday, leading a delegation of FCT community leaders to pay Sallah homage to President Bola Tinubu at the State House, refuting the false reports.

Responding to the allegations, Lere took to X, accusing Nigerian actress Hilda Dokubo of being involved in fabricating the story. He wrote, “But normal normal, Fubara suppose collect his money from this Hilda Dokubo.

After collecting millions of Naira from Opobo Judas of Rivers to stage Wike’s obituary pictures, and do some RITUALS, they cooked up that story of Wike collapsing and being in a coma so that Fubara will be happy that they have delivered.”

Lere further lashed out at others involved in the scheme, stating, “So what will FAILED ACTRESS HILDA DOKUBO tell Fubara now? Ugochinyere duped Fubara.

Hilda Dokubo duped Fubara. Who else?” His comments strongly suggest that several individuals were paid to create and spread these false claims about the Minister’s health.
