Sudanese leader General Abdel Fattah al Burhan has accused “colonial powers” of exacerbating conflicts across Africa.

While touring several African countries, including Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Sierra Leone, and Senegal, Burhan emphasized that Africa is now awakening and resisting foreign interference. He stated, “Africa is now experiencing an awakening, enabling it to resist foreign interference in African affairs.”

During his meeting with Guinea-Bissau’s President Umaro Sissoco Embalo, Burhan discussed Sudan’s internal struggles, including the ongoing rebellion by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces.

He reiterated the importance of African solidarity, saying, “African countries are linked by a common destiny which requires mutual support and solidarity between them.”

Burhan’s remarks come as his forces regain control of Sudanese territories from rebel groups, signaling a push for regional cooperation.
