The US military has started delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza using a temporary pier constructed on Gaza’s coast.
This $320 million pier facilitates the transfer of aid from various countries and organizations, addressing the severe humanitarian crisis in the region. The aid is initially sent to Cyprus, then shipped to a floating platform near Gaza, and finally distributed on land.
The US Central Command emphasized that no US forces have entered Gaza. The initiative is entirely humanitarian, aimed at providing relief amidst closed border crossings. Construction of the pier began in late April.
