Former President Donald Trump was rushed off stage with blood on his head after shots were fired during his rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday.

Trump is safe and expected to survive, according to senior law enforcement officials. One spectator was killed and another seriously injured. The shooter is confirmed dead. Trump was escorted off stage by Secret Service agents and thanked law enforcement for their quick response.

Witnesses reported hearing popping sounds and initially mistaking them for fireworks. Law enforcement quickly encircled Trump, and the crowd was evacuated from the area, which has been declared an active crime scene. The Secret Service is leading the investigation and will provide further updates as they become available.
