Republican President Edgar Lungu has called on Zambians to pray for first Republican President Dr Kenneth Kaunda who addmited to Maina Soko Military Hospital in the capital, Lusaka.
In his latest Facebook posting, President Lungu wrote:
“I call the nation to prayer for our beloved KK who is hospitalised, that God may touch him with His healing hand. He stood up for this great nation at its most critical moment, and so we can all stand up for him in his moment of weakness.
“But the sun of righteousness will rise on those revering my name; healing will be in its wings so that you will go forth and jump about like calves in the stall.” Malachi 4:2
Kenneth Kaunda is the last surviving Africa’s liberation icon. He ruled Zambia from 1964 to 1991 when he restired from active politics after losing to late President Fredrick Chiluba of the Moment for Multiparty Democracy -MMD-.
