The immediate past ruling Patriotic Front –PF- has sunk into deep chaos as party presidency succession bids have disintegrated into tribal factions and a trade of blame-games for the August 12 Edgar Lungu extincting loss.

Speaking Wednesday to Africaworld Reports under anonymity conditions, a PF official disclosed that there was a deepening succession row within the party as the self-proclaimed lunatic, Chishimba Kambwili had launched a campaign against the party Vice President, Given Lubinda, who is believed to be interested in the party presidency.

“I don’t see us bouncing back in 2026 because ba Kambwili is dividing the party on tribal lines. Just over the weekend, Kambwili was quoted in a WhatsApp voice saying only someone from Northern, Muchinga or Luapula should take-over the party.”

Kambwili who has come to be known as the tribal pontiff, is strongly opposed to having Lubinda as PF boss on grounds of tribe.

A pro-Kambwili PF member said in a WhatsApp voice note that Lubinda was the same as President Hakainde adding that the Tonga-dominated ruling UPND was bent on destabilizing the former ruling party by sponsoring Lubinda:

“Tongas are in power and some foolish PF member want Lubinda as party president. Lubinda is UPND and they want to destabilize our party so that Tonga and Lozi people can dominate government. Wake up PF; Kambwili is the future.”

The Michael Sata found PF, alias the SATA-nic boat has been rebranding to seize power in 2026 after losing to its most underrated and insulted Hakainde Hichilema.

Meanwhile, party bigwigs remain suspended between the shock of losing to the cowboy and the renewed corruption fight which the PF says has a tribal flavour.
