Civil Society Organizations -CSOs- have expressed worry about the proliferation of child internet abuses.

CSOs’ worry follows a revelations at the World Safe Internet Day, which showed that more 40 percent of Malawi children aged between 9 to 16 are exposed to various internet abuses including pornography, cyber bullying and Human Trafficking.

Speaking to local tabloid Zodiak Online,Director of Economic Regurations for MACRA, Andrew Nyirenda urged collaborated efforts parent to ensure safer internet among children.

In the same vein, YONECO help line Service Manager, Mosez Msukwa observed that the law never punishes perpetrators of internet abuses, while calling on government to enforce necessary pieces of legislation.
