Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have officially finalized their divorce, marking the end of their much-publicized marriage.

According to court records filed on January 6, 2025, in Los Angeles, Lopez revealed that she and Affleck had reached a mediation settlement in September 2024, just a month after she filed for divorce.

Lopez, 55, has stated that if a judge approves the divorce on February 20, 2025, she will legally drop the “Affleck” surname. The divorce will not include spousal support, and both will retain the profits from their individual businesses and ventures.

Despite the split, The Mirror reports that the couple has chosen to remain in each other’s lives moving forward.

Affleck, 52, and Lopez, who tied the knot in July 2022, had separated on April 26, 2024, as indicated in Lopez’s divorce filing from August 2024. She cited “insurmountable disagreements” as the reason for their separation.

Affleck has three children from his previous marriage: 18-year-old Freshly, 15-year-old Seraphina, and 12-year-old Samuel. Lopez, on the other hand, shares 16-year-old twins, Emme and Max, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.
