The decomposing body of Hon. Justice Azuka, an Anambra State House of Assembly member, has been discovered after he was kidnapped on Christmas Eve.
According to SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the state’s police spokesperson, “In the early hours of today (Thursday), 6/2/2025 at the Second Niger Bridge, the Joint Security team comprising of Police and AVG Operatives on a mission to rescue abducted Hon. Azuka, regrettably found his lifeless body at the scene.”
Azuka was abducted on December 24, 2024, while traveling home to celebrate Christmas with his family. Despite calls for his release from individuals, government officials, and fellow lawmakers, his body was found without further information initially available.
Ikenga further stated, “Details were not available yet, but as I get it, I will make it available to journalists.” The police have taken over the scene, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend the individuals responsible for the crime.
