Arsenal Football Club has announced the immediate resignation of Jonas Eidevall as Head Coach of the women’s first team. Eidevall, who joined in June 2021 from FC Rosengard, achieved significant success, including two FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup titles and a return to the UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-finals after ten years.
Sporting Director Edu Gaspar thanked Eidevall for his commitment and contributions, saying, “We have great respect for the dedication he showed to our women’s first team.” First Team Assistant Coach Renée Slegers will take charge on an interim basis while the club searches for a new Head Coach.
Director of Women’s Football Clare Wheatley commended Eidevall’s hard work, noting his role in winning back-to-back trophies. The club will announce the new appointment once the process is complete.
