Former Super Eagles star, Ibrahim Babangida, tragically passed away on Friday in an auto crash along the Zaira road.
The accident also involved his brother, Tijani, who is the president of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN). While Tijani and his family are reportedly responding to treatment, Ibrahim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Former teammate Emmanuel Babayaro confirmed the incident, calling for prayers for Tijani and announcing the heartbreaking loss of Ibrahim Babangida.
