The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has issued a stern warning to President Bola Tinubu’s administration against introducing cattle ranching or settlement schemes, including the controversial RUGA, in the South-East. In a New Year broadcast, IPOB’s Head of Directorate of State, Chika Edoziem, emphasized that the group has maintained a neutral stance toward the government, but will not tolerate any attempts to destabilize Biafra land under the guise of ranching.
Edoziem stressed that IPOB will oppose any effort to implement RUGA or similar schemes in the region, citing previous warnings to South-East governors, particularly Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah. The group’s message is clear: Biafraland is off-limits for such projects, and any further attempts will be met with strong resistance.
He concluded, “The land of Biafra will consume all those who come with the intention of conquering it.”
