Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi has made history by breaking the Premier League record for the most minutes played by a Nigerian player, surpassing the previous record held by John Mikel Obi.
Iwobi achieved this milestone after playing 90 minutes in Fulham’s recent match against Newcastle United, bringing his total minutes in the English top flight to 16,289. The 27-year-old, who previously played for Arsenal and Everton, has showcased his versatility and prowess on the field with five goals in 25 league games for Fulham this season.
