The EFCC has taken decisive action by seizing the passports of Betta Edu, the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, and her predecessor, Sadiya Umar-Farouq.

This move aims to prevent their escape amidst ongoing investigations into alleged financial scandals within the ministry. President Tinubu’s order for a comprehensive probe follows revelations of financial impropriety, as both former ministers face scrutiny for fraud totaling over N40 billion.

The EFCC has also summoned bank CEOs to aid their inquiries, ensuring a thorough investigation into these allegations.
