Primate Elijah Ayodele of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church has advised EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyode to adopt a spiritual strategy against Nigeria’s pervasive corruption. He stated that traditional methods like “lawsuits, guns, and arrests” are inadequate for tackling a crisis that is deeply embedded in society.
Ayodele emphasized, “To combat corruption, one must be highly spiritual; it cannot be defeated with technology.” He warned that powerful forces supporting corruption could undermine Olukoyode’s efforts, predicting that the fight against corruption will remain challenging under the current government. He concluded that significant systemic change is necessary for genuine progress
