Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has announced the tragic death of a teacher who was abducted alongside 137 pupils from Government Secondary and Primary Schools, Kuriga 1, Chikun LGA.
Despite the successful release of the kidnapped schoolchildren, the teacher did not survive. The children were rescued in Zamfara State, with Governor Sani confirming their safe return to Kaduna and high spirits.
However, he revealed the unfortunate news that the teacher, due to complications from illness, did not make it back.
