The bandit leader Turji Bello accused the Hausa community of Northwestern Nigeria of systematically killing Fulani tribespeople and their livestock, branding them as “traitors and hypocrites.”
He vowed to retaliate with more violence if the killings do not stop, saying, “You, the Hausa community, have killed our brothers and sisters, and nobody has said anything about it.” Turji warned that the Hausa people would no longer be allowed to farm, threatening, “You will not harvest your farms. If you dare to, you will die.”
He revealed that his group possesses an array of weapons, specifically targeting the Hausa population rather than security forces. Drawing parallels to global conflicts, including the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, Turji insisted that this battle would persist until the Fulani people are avenged.
