The Nigerian Police, through the Lagos State Command, have recovered a prohibited stun gun from Pastor Paul Adefarasin, founder of House on the Rock Church. The recovery follows the emergence of a viral video showing the pastor holding a gun-like object during a roadside confrontation.
Pastor Adefarasin turned himself in at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters in Ikeja on Tuesday. He was questioned by investigators and submitted a cautionary statement regarding the incident.
In a statement released later that day, the police confirmed that the object in question was a stun gun — a non-lethal, anti-riot device prohibited under Nigerian law. It was not classified as a conventional firearm.
Following the interrogation, the police confirmed that Pastor Adefarasin was granted bail while further investigations are ongoing.
The incident gained public attention after the video, reportedly filmed by a Lagos-based content creator known for posting luxury car footage, circulated widely online.
