Bukedia mp Anite was yesterday declared as deputy speaker of the 11th parliament of Uganda, ending earlier tears which had resulted from trashing of Rebecca the former speaker of Parliament.
Anite’ victory occasioned 415 supporters meant that the loss of speakership by Kadaga wasn’t a total loss since Among and kadaga come from East.
Anite out competed her rivals, the Kampala central mp Muhammad Nsereko who pulled 24 votes , And the FDC candidate Msibambi who gathered 35 votes .
Among Anite who will now be deputising Olanya , she is an accountant and lawyer by profession,who has served the parliamentary committee on Commission Statutory Authority and State Enterprises -COSASE, holds bachelor of business administration in accounting, and masters in BA from makerere University.
Among also hold bachelor in law from Kampala international university-KIU , and postgraduate degree in banking from UMU
