Institutions of higher learning have reopened in Uganda after a six-month Covid-19 induced closure which followed the pandemic’s second wave in June.

At the country’s oldest and largest university, Makerere, lectures for first year students including undergraduate finalists, and graduate students have started though the attendance was low as of today.

With universities and colleges resuming lectures depending their preparedness, some Makerere students coming from outside the capital, Kampala, are worried saying they are unable to catch up on the basis that they had no facilities to attend online classes  during the long closure.
