Liverpool are reportedly considering a £60m bid for Atalanta forward and Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman.

The 27-year-old has been in stellar form this season, netting 15 goals and contributing 6 assists in 28 appearances. However, Lookman’s future with Atalanta is in doubt following a public dispute with coach Gian Piero Gasperini over a missed penalty in the Champions League.

While Paris Saint-Germain showed interest in Lookman last summer, no deal was made. West Ham United are also said to be monitoring the situation, with Atalanta placing a £60m valuation on the player.

Spanish outlet Fichajes suggests that Liverpool are exploring a move for Lookman, particularly if winger Luis Diaz departs in the summer.

Diaz has been linked with a move to Barcelona, prompting Liverpool to look for potential replacements. Lookman is seen as an ideal candidate—he’s a quick, skillful winger capable of beating defenders.

“Liverpool are considering Lookman as a strong option to bolster their attacking options, especially with the uncertainty surrounding Diaz’s future,” an insider noted.

Lookman’s experience in the Premier League is another asset that makes him a desirable target for the Reds. However, any potential move is dependent on Diaz’s status at the club.
