Imisi Wins Big Brother Naija Season 10, Crowned Nigeria’s New Reality Star

Opeyemi Ayanwale, fondly known as Imisi, has emerged winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10, walking away with the ₦150 million grand prize and securing her spot among Nigeria’s biggest reality TV sensations.

The 23-year-old actor and fashion designer clinched the title after ten eventful weeks of strategy, alliances, heartbreaks, and entertainment that kept millions of viewers across Africa glued to their screens.

The grand finale, broadcast live on Sunday night, was a mix of tension and celebration. Nine housemates vied for the top spot, but in the end, Imisi triumphed, with Dede finishing as the runner-up. The final vote count was verified by Deloitte and confirmed by M-Net.

As the show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, declared her the winner, the studio erupted in cheers while confetti filled the air. Dressed elegantly in a white lace gown and wine aso oke, Imisi broke down in tears of joy, thanking her fans for standing by her through the season’s highs and lows.

Before her crowning, the night had its fair share of drama. Kaybobo and Isabella were the first to be evicted, followed by Jason Jae and Mensan, whose exits shocked viewers. Later, Kola, Sultana, and Koyin bowed out, leaving the final face-off between Dede and Imisi.

Throughout the season, Imisi earned the nickname “the calm storm” — a player who navigated the chaos of the house with quiet strength and strategy. Her defining moment came in Week 6, when she won the Head of House challenge, leading her team to successive victories and cementing her reputation as a steady competitor.

Her creativity during brand tasks and authenticity in diary sessions made her a favourite among both fans and sponsors. Many credited her honesty, emotional intelligence, and poise as the qualities that set her apart.

Season 10, tagged “Next Level,” lived up to its theme, combining high drama, unpredictable twists, and memorable personalities. Each housemate — from Kola and Sultana to Jason Jae and Mensan — contributed to what has become one of the most engaging seasons in the show’s history.

With her victory, Imisi joins an exclusive league of past winners — Mercy Eke, Whitemoney, Phyna, and Ilebaye — all of whom have gone on to become influential voices in entertainment, fashion, and media.

Since its revival, Big Brother Naija has remained a dominant force in Nigeria’s entertainment landscape — a mirror of youth ambition, creativity, and resilience. The show has consistently served as a platform for young Nigerians to showcase talent, build personal brands, and launch successful careers.

Season 10, which spanned ten weeks, carried on that legacy by combining entertainment with social themes around self-expression, relationships, and the pressures of modern life.

For Imisi, this win represents more than just fame or fortune. It marks the rise of a new kind of reality star — one who leads with quiet confidence, grace, and authenticity.

As fans across the continent
celebrate her victory, many believe she embodies the next generation of Nigerian youth redefining success, individuality, and creative freedom.
