Over 30 civilians died Tuesday, following two days of inter-communal violence in the restive Warrap State, the police reported.
Speaking in an interview with The Dawn English daily, Information Minister of Warrap state said 29 people were also wounded as neighboring communities of Luany-Jang, Lou Paher and Thiik clashed.
Deng said cattle raids were a major cause of the violence which left many in fear
Local authorities say security has been reinforced in the restless areas adding that law and order has been restored in Warrap state.
