Seven university students were found dead in a music studio in Bayelsa state on Tuesday after inhaling generator fumes

The students, who were working in the studio, forgot to switch off the generator and fell asleep, leading to their deaths. Residents of the area blamed the state and federal governments, as well as the Port Harcourt Distribution Company (PHED), for the deaths, citing inadequate power supply

The victims were identified as undergraduates from the Niger Delta University (NDU) in Amassoma, who were involved in the recording business to support their education. The police have cordoned off the area and are investigating the incident.
