After Years of Waiting, Nigerian Woman Welcomes Quadruplets at 50

What began as years of unanswered prayers has ended in double celebration for a Nigerian woman who welcomed quadruplets just weeks before her 50th birthday, nearly two years after getting married.

Olushola Olonade shared her inspiring testimony during a thanksgiving service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Solid Rock Parish in Ojodu, Lagos, where she reflected on her journey from years of waiting for marriage to becoming the mother of four children.

According to her, she tied the knot on December 12, 2023, at the age of 48 after spending many years hoping for a husband. Following the wedding, she prayed that she would not have to wait another long period before experiencing motherhood.

Her prayer was soon answered when she conceived. However, each hospital visit brought an unexpected surprise. The first ultrasound suggested she was carrying twins. A later scan indicated triplets, while another examination eventually confirmed she was expecting four babies.

Speaking during the church service, Olonade recalled how she and her husband reacted with disbelief as doctors repeatedly revised the number of babies she was carrying.

On March 6, 2026, she safely delivered two boys and two girls, marking a life-changing moment just three weeks before she turned 50 on March 31.

She explained that multiple births are not unusual in her family, noting that several relatives have had twins, although the arrival of quadruplets still came as a pleasant surprise to everyone.

Filled with gratitude, Olonade thanked God for seeing her through the pregnancy and safe delivery, describing the birth of her four children as the fulfillment of years of hope, faith and patience.

Her story has since inspired many, with social media users celebrating what they described as a remarkable testimony of perseverance and answered prayers.
