Aminu Bayero Retains Position as Kano Emir – Security Forces Pledge to Uphold Court Order

Under the directive of Commissioner Muhammad Usaini Gumel, joint security agencies have affirmed their commitment to maintaining peace and respecting the Federal High Court’s injunction against the installation of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II.

The injunction upholds Aminu Bayero’s position as the Emir of Kano. The police, alongside military and DSS officials, stressed that any attempts to disrupt state stability will be met with arrest and legal action. This announcement comes amid tensions following the state government’s order to arrest the deposed Emir Bayero, which the security agencies have yet to act upon.
