Kampala, Uganda| Express FC has topped the Uganda Premier League table after defeating Busoga United 4-0 victory at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.
Goals from Erick Kambale and a hat trick from Godfrey Lwesibawa helped the Red Eagles to sail past the Busoga and secure a Premier league top position which has been dominated by URA in the last game weeks.
Express dominated the game from the first minute as Eric Kambale, Godfrey Lwesibawa and Martin Kizza threatened the opponent’s goal. Express got the first goal through Lwesibawa in the 21st minute before he doubled their lead seven minutes later credit Kizza with who assisted him.
Lwesibawa stretched the visitors’ lead to three in the 51st of the second half before Kambale scored the fourth goal in the 64th minute.
Express FC head coach Wasswa Bbossa said the game was not easy but his team used counter-attacks to defeat the opponents.
The win takes the Red Eagles to 55 points past URA which has 54 points however the tax collectors still have a game in hand.
Elsewhere in Uganda Premier League, Mbarara City beat Vipers 3-2.
