In a recent interview with podcaster Juan Pablo Varsky, 37-year-old football star Lionel Messi, currently playing in the Copa América, attributed his exceptional talent to a divine gift.

The Inter Miami and Argentine national team icon shared that he believes God chose him and endowed him with his extraordinary abilities from birth. Reflecting on his journey, Messi noted that he was always different, attracting spectators from a young age. He stated, “It’s very clear to me that I was born like this because God chose me. It was a gift he gave me.”

Messi emphasized that while he worked hard to refine his skills and maximize his potential, his natural talent was a blessing. “I did nothing to become the player that I already was when I was little,” he said, highlighting the blend of innate ability and dedication that propelled him to become one of the greatest footballers in history.
