The Pain Wouldn’t Stop in the Night — Judikay Speaks on Repeated Pregnancy Loss

Nigerian gospel singer Judikay has shared details of her experience with multiple pregnancy losses, revealing that she has had six miscarriages, the most recent in February 2025.

In a video posted on her social media page, the singer recounted how the latest loss unfolded after she had passed the early stage of pregnancy.

She explained that the day began like any other until she noticed unusual discomfort, which she initially dismissed.

According to her, what started as mild cramps soon became alarming when she noticed bleeding that did not subside.

She said she quickly realised what was happening and felt overwhelmed by the situation.

She was subsequently taken to a hospital, where doctors confirmed a missed miscarriage and carried out a medical procedure.

Speaking about the aftermath, Judikay said she tried to maintain composure in public, often responding to concerned people with words of faith.

However, she admitted that the reality of the loss weighed heavily on her in private moments.

She described nights as particularly difficult, saying the emotional pain often resurfaced when she was alone, leading to moments of deep grief and questioning.

The singer, known for songs like More Than Gold and Ndimozi Binigwe, married her husband, Anselem Opara, in 2020. The couple welcomed their first child two years later.

Her account has drawn attention to the emotional toll of pregnancy loss, with many offering support and sharing similar experiences.
