Valencia has confirmed the signing of Nigerian forward Motunrayo Ezekiel on a one-year deal, as the club looks to bolster their squad.

“Ezekiel signed a one-year contract with Valencia after leaving Nigeria Women’s Premier League team Naija Ratels,” the club announced. The 21-year-old, who has previously played for Lakeside Queens and Rivers Angels, made a name for herself internationally by representing Nigeria at the 2023 All Africa Games, where the team won a silver medal.

“She became one of the Nigerian athletes competing in the Spanish Women’s League,” the statement continued. As Valencia struggles in the league, sitting at the bottom with just six points, they are hopeful that Ezekiel’s arrival will make a significant impact.
