In 2020, AfricaWorld Newspaper awarded Donald Trump the Man of the Year award, sparking a wave of attacks and setbacks that would test the publication’s resolve. This is the story of how AfricaWorld faced relentless opposition and survived against all odds

After awarding Donald Trump the 2020 Man of the Year award, AfricaWorld experienced an influx of hundreds of thousands of visitors to their website. However, this newfound attention came with a price – The platform faced relentless attacks from Trump’s opponents, who sought to tarnish Africaworld reputation with unfounded claims.

You can verify this information by searching for “Trump 2020 AfricaWorld Man of the Year” on Google, which will yield various newspaper reports from around the world. Although Google attempted to conceal the positive coverage

The situation escalated when Donald Trump shared their article on his page, commending AfricaWorld. This endorsement became a catalyst for further attacks, with his opponents providing no valid justification. Notably, Trump faced bans on Facebook and Twitter, which had a ripple effect on their online presence. Facebook shut down multiple pages associated with them before and after the incident, systematically removing thousands of followers daily despite the growing audience. This deliberate suppression hindered their growth on Facebook, Twitter, and other prominent social media platforms opposed to Trump.

On a personal level, Facebook severely restricted the CEO of Africaworld News online reach. Despite having a sizable network, fewer than 5% of his friends could access his page, regardless of his posts or updates. The CEO of Africaworld News, Ukachukwu Okorie personal page was effectively invisible.

Furthermore, Africaworld News faced relentless attacks. It’s pages and websites were targeted for takeover, and their online infrastructure was systematically dismantled. This deliberate suppression denied their benefits and hindered their financial growth. Their expansion into social media groups was stifled, and their free publication struggled to sustain itself.

The consequences were devastating. Four years of hardship nearly led to their closure, with poor revenue and limited opportunities. With Google, Twitter, and other platforms hindering their progress, they faced significant financial challenges. How could they generate revenue when their online presence was severely curtailed?

After launching their new project, they experienced significant setbacks due to the trauma inflicted by X’s arrival. The aftermath of their attacks still lingers, eroding their confidence and hindering progress. Social media giants, opposed to Trump’s re-election, targeted them and AfricaWorld, labeling them enemies. Even in Ireland, where democratic sympathies run strong, some reports criticized Trump and, by extension, their publication.

Personally, they faced attacks, and Facebook shut down their pages, citing flimsy excuses. These actions severely impacted their online financing capacity, as their free publication relied heavily on online support. By limiting their outreach, social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Google stifled their growth, removing followers daily. This resulted in millions of Euros in lost revenue and a significant decline in their fan base.
Despite these challenges, they remained committed to truth and their mission to serve and inform.

They believed that their publication held the key to independence and progress for Africa and humanity, and they saw that vision reflected in Trump’s leadership. That’s why they supported him from day one. However, his opponents spread false information about him and attacked them, trying to hinder their growth. They refused to back down, committed to upholding truth in their publication, using Trump’s experience as a case study.

To me, Trump represents global peace and a business-minded approach, which Africa desperately needs. Instead of relying on handouts that often get squandered by corrupt leaders, Africa requires progress-driven initiatives. Their support for Trump came at a significant cost, though – financially and otherwise. Their websites were attacked, forcing them to change them.

However, in their pursuit of truth and progress, Africaworld News has encountered ruthless feedback from those who don’t want the truth. That’s why their enemies keep hunting them. But they remain undeterred. They believe that it’s only the truth that will set Africa free.

That’s why they’re determined to hunt those who stand against the growth and prosperity of Africa. They vow to keep exposing the obstacles, challenging the status quo, and amplifying the voices of progress. For a brighter Africa, they will keep shining the light
