WHY DO YOU THINK THAT PRESIDENT TINUBU CAN TAKE US TO THE PROMISED LAND.” Written By Deacon ideato C Ideato Okoli.

I was deeply touched when my dear brother and friend from the United States chatted me up and said,

_” Ide, I’ve been reading your defence of Tinubu’s government since you added me back to the Ideato federal constituency platform and I don’t want to engage you publicly but wanted to ask what could have convinced a bright mind like you that Tinubu can take us to the promised land…”_

I am deeply touched because I ralised that the same thought might be going on among many of my friends and foes alike. l have responded to him privately, but l want to address this publicly for the benefit of others, out of
CONVICTION, not EMOTION.

Respectfully, l am not supporting President Tinubu because I believe he can take us to the promised land, it will take several administration with political will to make hard decision. Even America is still searching for elusive peomised land. l am supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu because he is the only leader in recent times taking the hard decisions that past governments avoided. In my view, therefore, he is laying a painful but solid foundation that can take us to the promised land.

The promised land is not magic. It’s painful reforms today that will lead to prosperity tomorrow. Tinubu has the track record in Lagos, the courage, and the team. That’s why I’m with him.

HE HAS THE COURAGE TO TAKE HARD DECISIONS.

For 20 years, every president knew that fuel subsidy subsidy was a scam, but nobody removed it. Tinubu did it on day 1.
Painful? Yes. Very painful. But more money is now going to states and federal projects instead of to smugglers. That is leadership.

HE HAS A TRACK RECORD.

He turned Lagos from a bankrupt state in 1999 to the 5th largest economy in Africa.
He built the template: IGR, infrastructure, tech, and human capital. Till today, he is the most successful politician not only in Nigeria but in Africa in terms of human capital development. His men, since he was Givernor of Lagos State, are still making waves as governors, senators, vice president, in the judiciary, and all across the nation today. No other politician alive has achieved that.

HIS POLICIES ARE ALREADY YIELDING RESULTS.

On the economy, states now get twice allocation more than four years ago. Are they using it judiciously, thats another discussion.

Roads, expressways with revolutionary concrete infrastructure with a life span of 50 years. That is a catalyst for national development.

On youth, he introduced NELFUND student loans, 3MTT tech training, and MSME grants.

On Energy, he introduced CNG buses and conversion to reduce transport cost.

On Security, he is introducing state police to deal with the security situation, taking on directly what many before him could not touch. All crimes are local. There is new funding and directives to service chiefs. The results are coming in gradually. State police is a policy that all previous administrations avoided, like a plague. President Tinubu is doing it.

HE HAS A CLEAR VISION: RENEWED HOPE…

The promised land is not overnight. It’s 8 years of consistent reforms.
He is not playing politics. He is fixing the foundation: tax, economy, security, and infrastructure.

Finally, the journey to the promised land is always through the wilderness first.
Tinubu is leading us through that wilderness now so that our children will enter Canaan.
That’s why I believe in him. That’s why APC is united behind him for 2027.

And contrary to what the opposition says about me, l do not hate Peter Obi. He us a great mind and a great asset not only to southeast but to this nation. But, it my conviction that neither Peter Obi nor Atiku can President Tinubu in 2027. And l have right to that option, it is a democracy and not umunna meeting.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing what is necessary, not what is popular. Promised lands are never reached by leaders who fear hard choices. It is a hard choice undertaken by leaders with political will to dare the hitherto undareable for the common good. Is he without laps no. Is he with lots of sins. YES, he has. But even your President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamine Netanyahu you hail to high heavens have their skeletons and are all under investigation. And so are all of us humans.
