Taye Taiwo, the former Super Eagles defender, has been inducted into Olympique Marseille’s prestigious Club of Legends, a significant milestone in his career.

Following this honor, the Super Eagles shared a heartfelt message on their Instagram, congratulating Taiwo with the words, “Congratulations to Super Eagles legend @king_t_t on his induction into the @olympiquedemarseille Legends Club. Well deserved, legend.”

Taiwo, celebrated for his powerful left foot and attacking prowess, enjoyed a successful six-year spell at Marseille from 2005 to 2011, leaving a lasting impact with 25 goals and 23 assists in 271 appearances.

His contributions helped secure titles like the Ligue 1 championship, Coupe de la Ligue, and French Super Cup.

Despite retiring in 2019, Taiwo’s legacy remains strong, inspiring both his country and club’s fans
