5 Members of Same Family Found Dead Inside Abia Residence
A family of five has been found dead inside their residence in Umuimo Village, Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area of Abia State, after relatives and neighbours became concerned when they were not seen for several days.

The deceased were identified as Kachi Nnabugwu, his wife, Chinaza, and their three children.
The family had reportedly remained inside the house since Sunday without being seen outside. Concerned relatives eventually went to check on them after efforts to reach them proved unsuccessful.
Repeated knocks at the residence reportedly produced no response. The door was eventually forced open, leading to the discovery of the five bodies inside the house.
The bodies were reportedly already decomposing by the time they were found.
Leftover food containers and a generator were also reportedly found inside the building, although authorities have not established whether either was connected to the deaths.
The bodies were removed from the residence and taken to a morgue, where autopsies are expected to assist investigators in determining the cause of death.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Abia State Command, DSP Maureen Chinaka, said the Osisioma Divisional Police Headquarters was alerted on Wednesday, July 22.
She said the report was made by the deceased man’s brother, who had become worried after he was unable to contact Kachi Nnabugwu.
According to the police spokesperson, the relative went to the residence with others and forced entry after repeated knocks went unanswered.
Police officers visited the scene, carried out a preliminary examination and took photographs as part of the investigation.

The corpses have been deposited at the morgue for preservation and autopsy as police continue efforts to establish what led to the deaths of the five family members.
